Made some headway today!

Until now the only consistent frothing I have been capable of has been from the mouth during a workout.
Today that all changed. I went to a local kitchen shop and bought myself a couple of new frothing pitchers, one 20oz and one 13oz. Up until now the one I was using was from Home Sense and was shaped like a cylinder.
These two new beauties have a nice round bottom and as I tried them out for the first time I watched in amazement as the milk swirled around inside the pitcher.
Progress has been made now all I have to do is duplicate it tomorrow. Duplicating has more difficult than I thought it would be. Soooo... many variables with espresso making.

A little progress has also been made on the training front. I managed another walk/run today with any real discomfort. This might be the beginning of the end of my achilles tendinitis.
Hopefully we will get our first training template back from Randy soon. I am getting anxious to get going with a formal training plan.
Masters swimming will not start until October some time so I might veture over the RMC pool with Emily tonight and dip my toes back in the water.

The beginning of a new adventure.

Since the end of July I have manged to embark on a few new adventures.

1. I have opened my own bike and tri shop "Gears & Grinds"
2. As a part of this business I have decided to become an expert barista.
3. I have signed up along with my partner Emily to complete Ironman Lake Placid.
Thus creating the idea for this blogspot.

This blog will provide a place for me to track my highs and lows as I attempt prepare for Ironman Lake Placid 2006 while perfecting my barista skills.
